GST: Allowing Directors to Opt for Biometric Authentication in Their Home State

GST: GSTN now enables directors of Public, Private, Unlimited, and Foreign Companies to complete their biometric authentication at any GSK within their home state.

✅ Intimation & Slot Booking: Eligible directors will receive an email with a link to book an appointment for authentication.

✅ One-Time Selection: The chosen GSK in the home state cannot be changed once selected.

✅ Availability: Currently accessible in 33 states/UTs, with Uttar Pradesh, Assam, and Sikkim to be added soon.

✅ For PAS & Directors: If the director is also the Primary Authorized Signatory (PAS), they must visit the jurisdictional GSK.

✅ Process Sequence: Biometric authentication must be completed before the PAS visit.

✅ Voluntary Option: Directors may opt for home-state authentication or visit their jurisdictional GSK as per preference. GST Update Link for Full PDF
