Empanelment Open - Observer for MAY 2025 Exams

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has invited applications for the empanelment of members to act as observers at the examination centers for the Chartered Accountants Examinations, May 2025. This initiative ensures smooth conduct and integrity of the exams across multiple centers in India and abroad. Examinations scheduled as under:
Final and Intermediate Examination: May 2nd to May 14th, 2025 (Except May 12th, 2025)
PQC (INTT - AT): May 10th and May 13th, 2025
Foundation Examination: May 15th, 17th, 19th, and 21st, 2025
Kindly note that the Examination Committee, in its 648th meeting held on 8th and 9th May 2024, decided that there should be a cooling-off period of one attempt after three (3) consecutive attempts for Observership duties.
Eligibility Criteria for Empanelment
Members who fulfill the following criteria are eligible for empanelment to act as Observers:
Age Limit: He/she should not be more than 65 years of age as of the date of empanelment, i.e., 20th February 2025.
Membership Requirement: His/her name should have been borne on the Register of Members as of 1st November 2022 and continues to be so.
No Close Relatives Appearing in Exams: Neither he/she nor his/her relatives or dependents should be appearing in the Foundation, Intermediate, Final, or Post-Qualification (INTT-AT) Examinations in May 2025 in India or abroad.
Note: Appearance in the ISA - AT exam will not be considered a disqualification.
Definition of Relative/Dependent: Includes wife, husband, son, daughter-in-law, daughter, son-in-law, grandson, granddaughter, brother, brother’s wife, brother’s son, brother’s daughter, sister, sister’s husband, sister’s son, sister’s daughter, wife’s brother, wife’s sister, husband’s brother, and husband’s sister.
No Coaching Activity: He/she should not be coaching students for any of the ICAI examinations/tests in any institution, including Regional Councils, ICAI branches, or private coaching centers.
No Disciplinary Proceedings: He/she should not have been convicted by any court of law, and no disciplinary proceedings should be pending against him/her by ICAI, the Disciplinary Directorate, or any other organization in India or abroad.
Not Associated with ICAI Committees: He/she should not be an elected/co-opted member of the Council, Regional Council, or Managing Committee of any ICAI Branch.
Compliance with Guidelines: He/she must abide by the Observer Guidelines and other instructions issued by ICAI.
Honorarium & Reimbursement
Honorarium: ₹3,000 per day/session
Conveyance Reimbursement:
₹350 per day for A-Class cities
₹250 per day for other cities
